Shonna is from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and has over 17 years of dance training in the areas of tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. She has been instructing professionally since 2008 and in 2010 entered the world of professional sports dancing. Her resume includes appearances with two different NBA franchises, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors. She has also worked with the NFL Superbowl Committee as a dancer & choreographer for events during Superbowl XXVIII & Superbowl 50. Since moving to California in 2012, she started ConfiDance Fitness and ConfiDance Kids. Shonna teaches Don't Worry, Be Yonce' SF, Chair Affair, and Totally 90s.
Mariah is from Baton Rouge, LA where she trained in ballet, jazz, and hip hop. Over the years, she has performed with New Venture Theatre under the Director Avery Wilson, appeared in Beyoncé's LEMONADE film, and was a member of Gold N' Bluez Basketball Dance Team for Southern University in Louisiana. Mariah teaches "Rooftop RIHlness" and is a guest instructor for Totally 90s, Chair Affair, and Don't Worry, Be Yonce' SF.
Damien is orginally from Australia and made San Francisco his home in recent years. By day he is an engineer in tech and by night he is the resident ConfiDance divo. Damien began training with ConfiDance Fitness early in his transition to the Bay Area and has performed in numerous shows around the city with the Boyonce' tribute group. He teaches Divalicious Moves and occasionally guests teachs Don't Worry, Be Yonce' SF. His favorite thing about dancing is the ability to spread love and positivity with movement. When he isn't instructing, Damien enjoys traveling and spending quality time with friends.
Elyse is originally from Texas and has been on a journey through pole, aerial, and various other dance styles for the last eight years. Elyse has travelled nationally, performing in various pole shows and earning high marks in pole competitions. When she's not dancing, Elyse is a woman in tech and enjoys cultivating dance as her continually growing passion. Elyse teacher Essentual Moves. and offers private pole training.
Amethyst is a Bay Area native and has a dance background in sacred and traditional hula with Hālau ‘O Keikiali'i. Her love for island vibes and positive attitudes has impacted both her style of dance and style of teaching. She believes that everyone should dance from the heart and soul. When she isn't dancing, Amethyst enjoys running, travel, and living a healthy lifestyle. Amethyst teaches ReggaeTone and is a guest instructor for Chair Affair & Don't Worry, Be Yonce' SF.
Anisha Kurukulasuriya is a Bollywood dancer in the South Asian community primarily working in North America. She fell in love with the world of Bollywood after joining University of Southern California’s Hindi Film Dance Team, Zeher. Anisha was Miss Bollywood America in 2013 and 2014 and has toured with professional Bollywood dance troupes as well as freelance work primarily in Los Angeles. In the summer of 2015, she was hired as a key dancer in YouTube sensation Lilly Singh's world tour. Anisha teaches Bolly Heels on Tuesday nights and is a guest instructor for other classes.
